Question: What's the size (in inches or feet) of a crib/baby blanket or quilt?

My county fair has a category for these blankets that, after the fair's over, they are donated to a program that helps kids who've been traumatized. I think it's a great idea, and I'd love to make one! My fair book says to make them crib/ baby sized.... I need to know what size that is. Thank you!

The ones we make for the Quilts For Kids program quiltsforkids.org/ patterns/ are about 38x45, but that doesn't have to be exact... This is the one they've been sending out kits for, it's super easy quiltsforkids.org/ patterns/ 32/ four-patch-quilt-pattern/

A typical newborn blanket is 36 " x 36 " but a crib mattress measures approximately 27 " X 52 ". Keep in mind the size of the age group you are targeting and do at least 12 " longer than the child would be tall.
