Looking for help with a crochet baby blanket?
I've crocheted before but it's been years, so I need help with basics once again...Here's my pattern bernat.com pattern.php?PID 4017The very first step is to Half Double Crochet hdc a chain of 143. Hdc is done by inserting the hook into the third chain. How many chains are you supposed to have in the first place? Also, how tight should they be? I'm afraid of it being so lose that it won't turn out, but at this point I'm struggling to even get my crochet hook into some of the chain because it's tight...One last question When doing a hdc, you're supposed to draw through all three loops on the hook but I only have two.Any crotchet expert who can speak to me in layman's terms would be greatly appreciated. Once I get it going I'm sure I'll be fine, I just don't know where I'm going wrong.The specific how to steps I'm basing this on is also from the Bernat site bernat.com learntocrochet.php

What's a simple easy pattern for a baby blanket? I don't want a BIG one but not a premie. A typical size one, if there is one. Something that's quick to make.Thanks

Uneven ends of crochet baby blanket help?
have messed up big time,Every row i do it seems the ends get shorter even though i stitch as many double crochet as i can.I have taught myself,and now paying for it.I have put many hours into my blanket.It is for my unborn son,I have 2 months to finish this blanket.I have some pictures of my mistake,My question is..is there anyway to fix this without starting all over?I really dont think i fully understand how to start a new row everytime.s9.photobucket.com albums a56 Death unkown ?action view& current IMG 01842.jpg
Pink and what?!?1 Crochet baby blanket...?
I made a Light pink double crochet blanket... now I am needing a border for it... soooo what color should it be and what kind of stitch?? I need help with this..... I don't think green or blue would look that great with it maybe cream... but thats so bland.... I was thinking black... but... my mom says it should be a light color.... so any advise is very helpful and what sort of stitch? a dc? or any others?

as the title says i want to sell some baby blankets that i have made, i also do them to order in all different colours but am stuck as to where i could advertise on the internet. so basically want some ideas i have put them up on ebay in the past but it takes so long for them to reach the top of the listings so does anyone else know any good website? such as a mother and baby one where there is a buy and sell section.thanks
