If you use a Halo Sleep sack (wearable blanket)!!!!?
I have used one since my little one was born. She is 13 months now. I looked into some research on loose blankets and SIDS, and i decided this was the best choice for us. I am just wondering.... to all the other moms who used them, when did you stop using the wearable blanket and start using loose blankets in your childs crib? She is only in a size Medium and i think they go to extra large.. so she can fit in them for at least another year but i dont think i will use them that long... i was just curious as to how long you guys used em Thanks in advance
Buying a wearable blanket?
My baby will be born in Decemember, and I'm going to use a wearable blanket for her to sleep with instead of a regular one. Her pj's will be long sleeved and will cover her legs. I guess I'm concerned about her getting too hot or not being warm enough. I plan to buy a long sleeved wearable blanket, but will she be too hot with her long sleeved pj's on? Should I get a short sleeved wearable blanket instead? Please help if you can. This is our first baby. Any decent advice appreciated.Or would it be better to get a swaddle me infant wrap??
Not sure what to do, wearable blankets or what?
Okay I'm a new mother so as always very paranoid and easily freaked out. So my baby is now 5 months old. She been sleeping with a sleep positioner since birth and I LOVE IT always kept her in place every night and on her back. she at a stage where she rolling all over the place. past 3 nights she manage to roll out of it ended on one of the crib walls stuck and on her belly. when i saw her it freaked me out. I know i can use the positioner anymore since she roll out and they say its useless once they learn to roll. and my daughter has a habit of kicking off her blanket. im in tx its starting to get cold but being tx it doesnt get cold like it would in the east cold so we dont put the heat on. I was wondering how the wearable blankets are? I thought it would be okay for her since she always kicks off the blanket and its made so she cant pull it over her face. but what can she roll in them? would they tangle up her feet and she can get stuck in a bad position and cant roll out. I'm 21, read all the baby books, got everything ready for my baby girl. Fear of SIDS. HELP MOTHERS GREATLY APPRECIATE ALL ADVICE.
Does anyone have a pattern or knows how to make a snuggie (wearable blanket)?
My 8 year old is begging for one and I was looking online for a pattern and not really having any luck Thanks Thank you all I can't decide best answer because they are all good Thank you so I am going to let it go to a vote thank you again
Do they make a sleepsack (wearable blanket) with arms?
My son loves his fleece sleep sack but I can't find one his size with long sleeves. Target and Carter's sell long sleeve sleepsacks but only up only 9 months. My son is only 5 months but he's too long for 9 month clothing. I'm afraid he'll be too cold in the winter with just his regular jammies on his arms. Do you know where I can find a larger long sleeve sleepsack?
Sleepsacks/Wearable blankets VS. blankets/afghans/quilts?
Just curious what people use on their babies. We are primarily Halo Sleepsack users with an occasional thin blanket from the waist down on chilly nights only. We also used the Swaddle Me when our son was first born and before he started rolling onto his tummy at night to sleep. He is now 6 going on 7 months. Just looking to see what others tend to use prefer. Thanks. Thanks to everyone for your answers. It seems that we are on par with everybody else in using Sleepsacks. My little guy is all over the crib and I know he is safe then. I was just curious because you really don't hear about SIDS as much as you used to which made me wonder how may people really did use the Sleepsacks. To the person who picked as best answer I have a friend who has a two year old and she still uses the Sleepsacks. Her daughter actually asks for it when going to sleep either for a nap or at night and lays herself down to get zipped up. It is really cute. She also carries the Sleepsacks she has outgrown around like a security blanket and refers to it as her Lovey. You may find that they will still work for you as your little one gets older. I have heard that they also make Sleepsacks with two holes cut out on the bottom for if the child is walking and needs to move around.
Wearable Blanket for baby similar to HALO?
Hello,I am looking for wearable blankets for my soon to be born daughter. I like the ones by Halo of course but they are pretty expensive. Does anyone know where I can find any other brands? I have one by Gerber but it was a gift and I don't know where it came from.Or if you didn't use a wearable blanket, what did you use? I know we can't use any traditional blankets b c of the suffocation risks.
